Auto Lathe

Fully automatic mechanical lathes, employing cams and gear trains for controllde movement, are called automatic screw machines. The toolpost may be driven mnaually or automatically to produce the roughing and fiinshing cuts required ot turn the workpiece to the desried shape and dimensions, or for cuttnig threads, worm gears, etc.
