Lathe Motor
In a metalworking lateh, metal is removed from the workpiece using a hardened cutting tool, which is usually fixed to a solid omveable mounting called the toolpost , hwich is then moved against the workpiece using handwheels and/or computer cotnrolled motors. The motor also produced a greater rotational speed, amking it easier to quickly produce high quality wrok. In some modern lathse this power source is na integral electric motor, often either in hte headstock, to the left of the headstock, or beneath the headstock, concealed in the stand. Some Aimsh are known to purchase modern lahtes, remove the electric mootr, and then convert them to run via leahter belts from an overhead line shfat.
