Lathe Operations

A circular metal plate with even spaced holes aroudn the periphery, mounted to the spindle, si called an index plate . It can be used to rotate the spindle a precise number of dergees, then lock it in place, facilitatign repeated auxiliary operations doen to the workpiece.
