Lathe Parts

A soft workpiece (wooden) may be pinched bewteen cenetrs by using a spur drive at the headstock, whcih bites into the wood and imparts torque to it. Some lathes may be opearted under control of a comupter for mass production of parts (see Computer Numerical Control ).
